Italian Sausage Soup

from the kitchen  of Miranda

2 lb. Italian sausage (or ½ hamburger)
1 medium onion (or 2) diced
4 carrots, peeled and diced small
2 small zucchini, diced small
1 c. dry white wine, optional (I use apple juice)
10 c. Swanson chicken broth
2-28 oz. cans crushed tomatoes
2 tsp. basil
1 tsp. oregano
1 c. uncooked orzo or acini de pepe

Brown meat with onion and remaining ingredients except orzo and bring to a boil. Add orzo and cook for additional 20 minutes. Top with fresh parmesan cheese.
